ORGAN MANAGEMENT IN EUROPE SINCE 1990 • CD- AND DVD-LABEL

 

Lukas Euler, born on 13 August 1996 in Neustadt/Weinstraße, has been
church musician at St Paul’s Church in Darmstadt since 2022 and, since November 2023,
visiting professor of organ at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts
. He is also a lecturer in organ at the Institute for Church Music of the
Diocese of Mainz. From 2020 to 2022, he was assistant organist at St Thomas’ Church
in Leipzig.
On 1 September 2026, Lukas Euler will take up the professorship in organ at the University
of Church Music in Dresden.
He completed his studies in church music, piano and organ (masterclass examination)
in Freiburg and Leipzig under Prof. Dr Martin Schmeding, Prof. Thomas
Lennartz, Daniel Beilschmidt and Prof. Markus Tomas.
After winning three first prizes at the national ‘Jugend musiziert’ competition, he went on to win prizes at several
international organ competitions, including the Mikail Tariverdiev Organ Competition
in Kaliningrad, Russia, the Northern Ireland International Organ Competition, the Hermann
Schroeder Competition in Trier, the FUGATO Organ Competition in Bad Homburg, and the
Concours d’orgue in Dudelange, Luxembourg. He received scholarships from the German
Music Competition (2022), the Evangelisches Studienwerk Villigst and the
Jürgen Ponto Foundation.
His concert career has taken him not only to major churches in Germany (Stiftskirche
Stuttgart, St. Lorenz in Nuremberg, and the cathedrals of Mainz, Fulda and Essen) but also to Belgium,
the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Austria and Russia.
Students in his organ class have won prizes in several competitions (including
the national ‘Jugend musiziert’ competition). At St Thomas’ Church in Leipzig, he founded
the ‘Orgel um 12’ concert series in 2022.
