On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Max Reger's birth we are working on two outstanding
instruments of the German late romantic period - the practically unchanged
preserved Furtwängler&Hammer organ in the Verden Cathedral and the
Sauer organ in the Bremen Cathedral.
With Prof. Dr. Martin Sander (Munich / Basel) we will work on works by
works of Max Reger according to the free choice of the participants in a balanced
mixture of smaller and larger works.
The course is aimed at students, full-time and part-time church musicians.

Martin Sander is active as an international concert soloist and is Professor of Artistic Organ Playing at the Musikhochschule in Munich and at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel. He previously taught at the Hochschule für Kirchenmusik in Heidelberg from 1999 to 2012 and at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt/Main from 2001 to 2008.
Martin Sander was born in Berlin in 1963, lived for a long time in Göttingen, where he began playing the organ with Hermann Amlung, and studied organ and piano at the Hanover University of Music and Drama (Ulrich Bremsteller, organ and Gerrit Zitterbart, piano). In 1994 he passed the concert exam. Master classes and further studies with Harald Vogel, Luigi Ferdinando Tagliavini, Flor Peeters, Daniel Roth, Edgar Krapp, Uwe Droszella, Winfried Berger and others completed his musical education.
