Paris, capital of culture and the beaux arts is this year for the first time host to an international organ academy with renowned professors, teachers and organists specalising in French repertoire and improvisation. The courses will be held on 4 famous Paris organs, each of which has been inspirational to numerous composers and improvisors. 5 precious days full of teaching and discoveries, with:

 

Louis ROBILLIARD, Titularprofessor at the Conservatoire National de Région de Lyon, Titularorganist at the great Cavaillé-Coll organ of Saint François de Sales in Lyon: Works by Franck, Dupré, Messiaen, Widor, Vierne, Brahms, Liszt, transcriptions.

Frédéric BLANC, Titular organist on the great Cavaillé-Coll organ in the church of Notre Dame d'Auteuil in Paris.
Works by Tournemire, Duruflé, Fleury, Langlais, Grunenwald, Vierne ,Widor, Dupré, Franck, improvisations.

Baptiste-Florian MARLE-OUVRARD, Titular organist on the great organ of Saint Eustache in Paris. French music of the 19th century, Vierne, Widor, Gigout, und 20. Jh: Duruflé, Dupré, transcriptions, improvisation.

Samuel LIÉGEON, Titular organist on the great organ of Saint Pierre de Chaillot in Paris, professor am Pôle Supérieur d'Aubervilliers.

Works by Messiaen, Leguay, Florentz, Escaich, improvisations.

 

Daily teaching morning and afternoon in 4 groups.
Group 1: improvisation
Group 2: improvisation, romantic, symphonic and modern
Group 3: improvisation, romantic and symphonic
Group 4: romantic and symphonic

Romantic: Brahms, Schumann, Liszt, etc.
Symphonic: Franck, Widor, Vierne, Guilmant etc.
Modern: Langlais, Duruflé, Dupré, Messiaen, Litaize, Escaich, Florentz, Leguay usw…
Course languages: French, English, German

Each participant will apply for one of the groups (7 active participants per group), and will then switch to other teachers on the appropriate organ.

An attractive framework and evening programme with organ viewings, recitals and tourist events will complement the course.

Fee: Active participant 350 Euros, passive participant 200 Euros
single Day as passive participant € 50
